A few years ago I created a simple calculator tool that gives you an idea of what changes you must make to reach your goals. The concept is simple. Too often we set goals without thinking about how we will make progress towards those goals.
While it’s true that the specific “how” for any given goal is unique, what remains the same are 5 fundamental questions you must answer:
- How much earlier you must wake up.
- How many hours a day you must invest.
- How many sacrifices you must make.
- How much coaching you need.
- How often do you need to plan and strategize.
The purpose of the goal grind calculator is to help you calculate a realistic answer to these questions. Once you have this answer, it’s then up to you to decide if you are willing to do what it takes to reach your goal, or if it’s better to decrease the difficulty of your goal so pursuing it doesn’t conflict with your lifestyle.
