The Truth About “Free” Time
It doesn’t matter if you are an athlete, entrepreneur, manager, coach, teacher, or just an individual contributor on a team. There is a simple truth about time that remains the same. Successful people use their time in ways in which unsuccessful people don’t.
Consequently, this means that if you haven’t reached the level of success you want in your life, your free time isn’t actually free. Indeed, the reality is that your free time is costing you your goals.
There are many barriers each of us face in the pursuit of how we define success for ourselves. However, there is no greater barrier than how we use our time. Ironically, this same barrier is an equalizer. Every person on this earth only gets 24 hours in a day and every person can choose to invest that time more (or less) wisely.
It’s simply a fact that your goals limit your freedom. While you may be free to choose your goals, once you choose your goals your free time is no longer free.
