For the last two days I have been explaining the process of breaking bad habits and replacing them with good habits. In short, bad habits are the result of not having a plan to make it easier to use discipline, self-control, and willpower. This plan is the combination of a routine that replaces impulses with intention and tracking your consistency streak.
In the beginning, the process of breaking a bad habit seems impossible. Bad habits are habits for a reason. They are hard to break. However, if you can buy-in to a concept summed up by this simple little quote below, you can surely accomplish this goal.
Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
