7 Behaviors You Can Start Today to Dramatically Improve Your Life
What would it take to improve your life? Your life may be average, good, or great already, and you may be satisfied with that. However, if you’re not, when is the last time you’ve put serious thoughts into how you can change your behavior?
Well, this is something I think about every single day. I’m constantly focusing on the process of behavior change. As a mental skills coach, my job is to help clients:
- See who they can become when they are at their absolute best.
- Support them in the process of becoming that version of themselves by making the appropriate behavior changes.
To this end, there are 7 behaviors I believe are fundamental in this process.
- Keep the promises you make to yourself.
- Make tough decisions with researched facts and analysis, not opinions or emotion.
- Set short-term goals using a progression process and align those goals with a big picture vision and purpose.
- Systematically plan each day, week, month, and year and then execute that plan consistently.
- Stop working each day only after the work you planned for that day is done. No procrastination.
- Avoid negative thoughts and negative people.
- Work with a coach to hold you accountable to all the above
