Counterpoint: Practice Does NOT Make You Better

One of the biggest myths in our society is that practice makes you better. However, this is just not true. Practice is an opportunity to get better, but practice does not make you better.

When you practice the same way average people practice, you will be average. If you keep practicing that same way you will remain average no matter how often and for how long you practice. This is what average people do, and this is why they are average. It’s not that the average person doesn’t practice, it’s that the average person doesn’t practice like good and great people practice.

In short, practicing the wrong thing the right way won’t make you better and practicing the right thing the wrong way won’t make you better either. There is only one way to get better, and that’s to practice the right thing the right way consistently.

Furthermore, if there was a secret to success it would be knowing exactly what the right thing to practice was and knowing exactly how to practice it the right way. Find someone who can give you this information and then you can crack the code for success in any endeavor you want to pursue.
