How to Know if You Are Destined to be Unhappy
It’s a fact that we would all rather be happy than unhappy. However, many of us do things that sabotage this fact. Case in point is how some people train their minds to seek happiness.
People who value happiness train their mind to primarily seek happiness from things they can control. People who are always unhappy train their mind to seek happiness from external sources. Here are two primary examples:
- You can control processes, but you can’t control outcomes.
- You can control how you treat people, but you can’t control how people treat you.
If you derive your happiness from process and how you treat people you can be as happy as you want when you want. On the other hand, if you derive your happiness from outcomes and how other people treat you then you are destined to be unhappy often.
