Counterpoint: You Don’t Deserve to Achieve Your Goals Until You Do

It’s a fact that most people fail to achieve most of their goals. Everything from New Year’s resolutions to fitness goals to financial goals. It doesn’t matter the type of goal, the common thread is that most people never reach most of their goals. Why is this?

Unquestionably there are numerous reasons why most people don’t reach most of their goals. However, I know for sure there is one thing above all that’s the primary cause of failure.

It’s when someone knows in their heart they don’t deserve to achieve a goal. Yes, not believing you deserve success is a prolific goal killer. What’s more, this emotion is usually the result of one of two failures.

  1. Failure to create a step by step plan that maps out a clear path to achieving your goals.
  2. Failure to make the sacrifices required for achieving your goals

On the other hand, when you do these two things, there’s absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t feel like you deserve to achieve your goals. Furthermore, doing what it takes to feel like you deserve to achieve your goals is 100% under your control.

So if you ever feel that you don’t deserve something, you must remember that this emotion is completely unnecessary and you have complete control over changing it.
