The Moment When You Most Need a Coach’s Guidance

Almost everyone other than athletes and executives ignore their need for coaching. The idea of an adult hiring a coach to help guide them through the sticky situations of everyday life is a relatively new concept. Thirty years ago this was virtually unheard of. However, times have changed.

Climbing the career ladder is more competitive than ever, opportunities for our children are more competitive than ever, and life is just far more complex than it ever was for our grandparents. Still, the idea of hiring a coach is not a cure all for solving these everyday problems. Instead, seeking out the help of a coach is most useful in one type of situation in particular. CHANGE!!!

One of the best moments to seek out the guidance from a coach is when change is on the horizon. This could mean you know change is a must, you are being forced to change, or you are in the process of changing.

A coach could help you if you:

  • know change is a must, but don’t know what to change or how to change.
  • are being forced to change and are having trouble dealing with the consequences of the change.
  • are in the process of changing and not getting the results you expected

Change is never easy. It’s often frustrating and painful and never happens as fast or as slow as we would prefer. Despite this, the only thing in life that stays the same is change. If you ever find yourself struggling in one of these seasons of change, that may be the moment you should seek out a coach for help.
