The First Step In Facing the Reality of Pursuing a Difficult Goal

Pursuing difficult goals is not for everyone. By definition, most people will not be successful in their pursuit of a difficult goal. By difficult I’m referring to long term goals that require a minimum of 4 years effort. This is a long time, and as a result most people struggle immensely to achieve these type of goals.

This is why the first step one must take in pursuit of a difficult goal is to face the reality that the journey is and will continue to be hard until the very end. Contrary to what we see in the media, success does not happen overnight.

Pursuing difficult goals require patience. The sooner a person in pursuit of a difficult goal accepts this fact the better off they will be in the long run, and the happier they will be in the short run.
