If Your Dream is the Equivalent of Winning The Lottery, Do It Like This Guy
Yesterday I answered the question why some people get to live their dreams and others only dream. In this explanation I shared that it’s okay if your dream is the equivalent of winning the lottery as long as you take action to do something about it.
Simply stated, a dream without action is a pipe dream. Some believe that all dreams of achieving something equivalent of winning the lottery are pipe dreams. I’m not one of those people. I believe the only dreams that are pipe dreams are dreams with no action to back them up.
With that said, you can backup a dream that is the equivalent of winning the lottery with action. Case in point is a man name Stefan Mandel. Mandel legally gamed the lottery and won millions of dollars around the world. He did it by buying every possible combination of lottery numbers to guarantee success.
While this is an extreme example, the mindset of Stefan Mandel is exactly the mindset we all need to achieve our dreams. Stefan Mandel’s story is a case study worth studying if you have big dreams. Dreams such as launching an app that gets millions of downloads, raising venture capital for a business, and athletes winning an olympic medal or getting drafted into a pro league fall into this category.
It doesn’t matter how crazy your dream is, you can use Stefan Mandel’s formula:
- Research the odds of success
- Research how to turn those odds in your favor
- Use your research to find and convince others to help you
- Execute
- Review went well and what didn’t go well
- Improve your process based on what you learned
- Repeat
