John Wooden’s Eight Laws of Learning
John Wooden is the greatest basketball coach of all time, and arguably the greatest coach of all time. What’s more, his coaching philosophies are gold, and over the years he was always generous enough to share them publicly.
One of his coaching philosophies is his Eight Laws of Learning. You would be wise to memorize them and use them in all aspects of life.
John Wooden states the following:
The four laws of learning are explanation, demonstration, imitation, and repetition. The goal is to create a correct habit that can be produced instinctively under great pressure.
To make sure this goal was achieved, I created eight laws of learning; namely, explanation, demonstration, imitation, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, and repetition.
I absolutely love this quote. When I first saw it, it made me chuckle because of how true it is. I hope you find as much joy reading this great quote as I did.
