One of Those Days I Wish I Could Get a Do Over

Today was one of those days.  Not a bad day, just one of those days. One of those days when I watched one of my favorite teams lose and watched one of my favorite high school wrestlers lose.  One of those days when I didn’t get my work out in and when I also ate more than my fare share at breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Just one of those days that I wish I could get a do over.

I finally started feeling better a few minutes ago when I read this quote by Mahatma Gandhi.

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” — Mahatma Gandhi

I read this quote in the context of an inspiring article titled The best way to help someone and add value to their life.  It’s not that this article or quote directly related to the reasons why I was having one of those days.  This article and quote was just so refreshingly honest, real, and true.  For example, this paragraph rings truth with each word:

If you want to help others, you must always help yourself first. If you want to advise others, be willing to follow your own advice. If you want to do great things in this world, don’t just talk about it. Take action.

Please go read this article to get the entire context.  You won’t be disappointed.
