The 3 Biggest Factors Impacting Potential

The 3 Biggest Factors Impacting Potential

I have been researching and writing about the factors impacting potential almost exclusively for a while now.  It’s a subject I’m passionate about.  My passion starts with my feeling of not maximizing my own potential.  It goes even deeper when I see the people I love around me who haven’t either.

Furthermore, I live in a neighborhood and near multiple other neighborhoods with vast amounts of untapped potential.  Bottom line is that my mind just can’t get away from the factors impacting potential.

As a result, over the last month or so I have read 3 books, perused no less than 100 articles, watched right around 30 YouTube videos, and listened to exactly 16 podcast on the subject.  My conclusion is that there are three primary factors impacting how much potential you truly have.

  1. How much you believe in yourself
  2. The number of people around you who believe in themselves
  3. The number of people around you who believe in you

How much you believe in yourself

Belief is such a powerful force.  In fact, you could argue that it’s the most powerful unconscious force we as humans have.  What’s more, the more you believe in yourself, the higher your expectations. Subsequently, as your expectations increase with your belief, your potential multiplies.

The number of people around you who believe in themselves

The people surrounding you serve as force multipliers.  Their energy will either help or hurt your potential.  If you are surrounded with people who believe in themselves, then this positive energy will transfer to you.  If you are surrounded with people who don’t believe in themselves, then this negative energy will transfer to you.

The number of people around you who believe in you

When one person believes in you,  it can reaffirm your existing belief.  When many people believe in you, it can confirm belief and create belief.  Unconsciously you can rationalize that one person could be wrong.  However, when many people believe in you, it’s harder for your unconscious mind to limit your beliefs. That’s why the more people who believe in you, the more potential you have.
