A Critic of Critics
Nobody likes a critic. They are lonely souls who find joy poking holes in other people’s ideas.
They tear down art and make creatives cry. It doesn’t even matter if their wrong or right, a critic will still have their say.
Not only will they have their say, they may get paid to say it.
Political critics, art critics, food critics, movie critics, business critics, sports critics, fashion critics, book critics. What did I miss?
As much a we dislike critics, we’ve all been a critic. Either on Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Amazon, or Rotten Tomatoes. Maybe even using Uber and Lyft as well. We criticize, we review, we complain as “non-profit” critics.
Nevertheless, the reality is this. To criticize is to be human. To learn from criticism is to be a better human. To ignore criticism is to be a visionary human. To believe criticism is to be a depressed human. Your choice.
