Journey for Personal Growth by Getting Organized
My journey for personal growth is not something I think about, it’s something I do.
This. Is. A. Problem.
I’ve learned that this is a problem over these last few months. I’ve come to realize that my journey for personal growth is dependent on how I plan my time. When I take time to think and organize my time, I make time for personal growth. When I just “do” to get things done, I don’t.
How Disorganization Impacts My Journey for Personal Growth
I’ve noticed that the more disorganized I’m with my time, the more unhappy I’m with my journey for personal growth.
In addition, when I wake up without a plan for my day I end up doing less. There is often no space in my day to journey for personal growth. I end up neglecting key activities such as self-care, research, and pursuing long term goals. When I miss out on these activities, I end the day feeling unfulfilled and stuck.
How Being Organized Impacts My Journey for Personal Growth
On the other hand, there are times when I think about my journey for personal growth as part of my goals for the day. This helps me organize my day to get the things I have to do done faster, so I have time to do the things I want to do. As a result, I can allocate specific time in my day for growth related activities. When I do this, I end the day feeling motivated and confident that my long term goals are attainable.
This is how I want to feel at the end of each day, yet each day I still must make this choice. I can choose a deliberate approach, working each day at establishing organization as a habit. Or I can choose to keep doing what I’m doing and hope to have more good days than bad. While the choice seems obvious, in reality the choice is in the execution.
